Fortive Corporation Training Manager Intern in Eindhoven, Netherlands

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Training Manager Intern to join our team. This role involves planning, coordinating, and delivering a Training Program to help our commercial employees acquire the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for their job performance. The training program aligns with Fluke Reliability's goals and objectives, and support employee development and career advancement. This involves developing training materials, scheduling training sessions, choose the right platforms to run the trainings, tracking attendance and progress, and evaluating the effectiveness of training modules.

The role includes the responsibility for managing a team of training module owners, content providers and trainers and ensuring that they are delivering high-quality trainings. The training manager intern also collaborate with other departments within the organization to identify training needs and develop customized training modules to meet those needs. Strong communication, leadership and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.

This multi-year project will be executed by a team of interns and will be completed in phases. Some preliminary work has already been done, and initial needs have been identified and clarified.

In the first phase, the focus will be on developing the initial modules of the training program to run on selected Learning Management System (LMS) platform(s). A further assessment will be conducted during phase one to identify and prioritize the next set of needs for subsequent phases.

Duties of the Training Manager intern :

  • Assessing training needs : the training manager intern identifies the specific skills, knowledge and abilities that commercial employees require to be successful in their roles. This may involve conducting surveys, analyzing performance data and consulting with managers and employees.

  • Developing training program : Based on the identified training needs, the training manager interns lead a team of appointed employees that design and develop engaging and effective training modules that align with Fluke Reliability's goals and objectives. This may involve creating training materials, developing lesson plans and selecting appropriate methods and platform for trainings.

  • Delivering training modules: The training manager intern coordinates and delivers training modules to employees, either directly or through a team of trainers. This may involve scheduling training sessions, preparing training rooms and delivering these sessions using a variety of methods such as lectures, role-playing and hands-on activities such as on-the-job coaching.

  • Evaluating training effectiveness: The training manager intern assesses the impact of training modules on employee performance and overall business results. This may involve gathering feedback from participants, analyzing performance metrics and adjusting training modules as needed.

  • Managing training budgets: The training manager intern develops and manages a training budget, ensuring that training modules are cost-effective and deliver a positive return on investment.

  • Collaborating with other departments: Training managers work closely with other departments and business leaders to identify training needs and develop customized training modules that address those needs.

  • Staying up to date with industry trends: The training manager intern benefits from staying informed about new developments in training and development including emerging technologies, new training methods and best practices in the field.

  • Managing a team of training-module owners and trainers: The training manager intern will (under supervision of the Sales Development Director) manage a team of trainers, ensuring that they have the resources and support they require to deliver effective training modules.

Requirements:

Hard skills

  • You are following or have finished a Bachelor in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, HR or Project Management;

  • You have skills in project planning, risk management and reporting;

  • You are potentially automation-savvy;

Soft skills

  • You are a self-starter with a potential to operate in a larger team within a matrix organization;

  • You have good communication skills;

  • You think in a creative and critical manner;
