Summary:

At Meta Reality Labs, we innovate novel optical hardware for the next generation of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality devices. The Optical Additive Manufacturing Team (OAMT) is a group within the Display and Optics organization at Meta Reality Labs. The goal of this team is to incubate and deploy disruptive technologies from NTI to product.We are looking for a Process Technician to support the OAM team with hands-on experience in a high-tech production environment.

Required Skills:

Process Technician, Optical Additive Manufacturing Responsibilities:

1. Operate 3D printing and related tools to meet optics design requirements.

2. Prepare substrates using provided process steps.

3. Post-treatment of lenses.

4. Execute experiments supporting Research & Development.

5. Compile data and identify abnormalities.

6. Perform reliability testing.

7. Measure lenses and record required data.

8. Participate in discussions regarding new concepts and contribute ideas to support the OAM team.

9. Integrate concept prototypes using 3D printers, hand tools, and other equipment as needed.

10. Sync with other members of the Optical Additive Manufacturing team to identify improvements.

Minimum Qualifications:

11. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

12. 2+ years of experience in a high-tech production environment or similar role.

13. Proven capability to work independently and in teams to achieve required results.

14. Experience with data analysis and statistics.

15. Knowledge of 3D Printing, hardware, processes, and materials.

16. Hands-on experience with 3D printing, injection molding, polymer extrusion, and thermal forming.

17. Basic understanding of 3D drawing skills (e.g. Fusion360, SolidWorks or equivalents).

18. Hands-on and detail driven.

19. Effective communication skills.
