In the role of Assistant Controller, no day is the same due to a mix of standard work (e.g., Month end Close activities) and involvement in supporting the changes of the organization (e.g., due to centralization, legal entity optimalization and continues improvements).

You will be exposed to the full scope of finance-compliance activities and will work closely with your peers and manager, finance- and other internal teams as well as with external customers (e.g., auditors).

You will participate in a dynamic and fast-paced organization where you participate in both finance and non-finance projects.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the statutory reporting cycle for the assigned legal entities, in close cooperation with the other Financial Controller, other Controlling team members, and the External auditors.

• Review, analyze, and correct the balance sheet account of the assigned legal entities. Corrections are followed up with the process owner of the transactions to ensure process improvements.

• Review, analyze, and correct transactions on assigned cost centers for all impacted EMEA legal entities. Prepare and present the annual budget cycle for the assigned cost centers and manage the monthly forecast updates. Together with the Regional Controller, be the business partner for the Cost center owners under your management.

• Ensure a timely and correct Month End Close and Reporting cycle, within tight closing schedules.

• With the support of the Financial Controller, own assigned complex accounting flows within the Controlling team (e.g. Cost accounting, Transfer pricing, Statutory management, CIT reporting, Currency management).

• Become the champion and own assigned complex accounting flows within the Controlling team (e.g., Cost accounting, Transfer pricing, Statutory management, CIT reporting, Currency management).

• Take ownership of the various internal (US GAAP) and external tax reporting (CIT) and support tax audits (CIT/VAT/Wage tax) for your legal entities.

• Support the various internal and external compliance audits (e.g., SOX, IA, ACP).

• Supporting the involvement of the EMEA (Controlling) Finance team in projects that support continuous improvement and current business developments .

• Be part of an open and supportive team culture.

• Maintain close relationships with other European and Corporate finance teams to ensure business decisions are consistent with the interests of the wider Fluke and Fortive.

• Contribute to the ongoing and upcoming projects as a representative of the EMEA (Controlling) Finance team

  Your team:

  The Junior Controller is a key member of the EMEA Controlling team (14 FTE). As Junior Controller you report into one of the four Financial Controllers. You will work together with other Junior Controllers, Financial Controllers, the Operations Controller, and the VAT Manager to realize the Financial Compliance of Fluke EMEA. The Junior Controller partners with other finance teams, the Fluke US finance team, and many other departments to realize the objectives of the EMEA Controlling team. You will join a high-performing, friendly, and supportive team.

  Experience

• • Bachelor’s degree in economics, business administration or finance & accounting.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in finance and accounting. Background within an external audit firm or international/US organization is preferred.

• Knowledge of US GAAP and local statutory/tax regulations and experience with compliance and accounting requirements.

• Ability to initiate, drive and execute change projects across several levels.

• Experience managing priorities.

• Strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
