A3 Technology, Inc. is seeking a Technical Specialist to join our Terminal Second Level Engineering (TSLE) Hardware System Engineering & Field Support team in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. This position serves as a member of the team that is deeply involved in the full Hardware System Engineering and Field Support life cycle of multiple projects.Essential Job Functions:Monitor NAS system, software and FAA procedural requirements when providing STARS System Integration and Field support, testing and interface of software and computer system.Ascertain STARS/TAMR and Elite system deployed at the OSF facilities. Gather Data for (FRD) Facility Reference Data.Load software, firmware, adaptation and configuration.Ascertain user requirements, performs system-wide analysis and functional allocations, exhibits an understanding of the requirements of the responsive approach to the customer and satisfies the customer requirements.Learn NAS system software, in FAA procedural requirements and in satisfying the requirements in the areas of STARS/TAMR Systems, standardization and other engineering considerations regarding FAA missions and National Airspace System (NAS) systems.Gain knowledge of both state-of-the-art and aging technologies that comprise the FAA's NAS and the products from emerging NAS modernization program.Interface with specialists from OSF, SOS and TSLE.Work independently under general guidelines and objectives.Support data reduction and analysis.Terminal lab/test bed configuration.Generate trip reports, SSM from hardware systems leads. Collect data from field support calls.Ability to travel extensively 25% of the time and lift 50 to 75 pounds for removal and disposition of old equipment and installation of new equipment.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Required:Experience in a variety of basic computer skills and the ability to learn tasks related to the FAA Tech Ops/ATC functions.Basic networking skills (how routers/switches/hubs work together).Ability to understand the high-level architecture of STARS (Standard Terminal Automation Replacement Systems) and CARTS (Common Automated Radar Terminal Systems).Basic understanding of electronic component installation and wiring.Good communication skills.Scheduling/organizational skills.Ability to learn complex software systems, mainframe and microcomputer programming including a variety of application and operating system software packages.US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US is required.Upon conditional offer of employment candidates will be subject to a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain Government clearance.Verification of past employment, verification of education and references are also required.Education:High School Diploma/GED and (3) years of related experience ORAssociate degree in a related field and (1) year of related experience.A3T is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO) and Affirmative Action (AA) employer.
