PLC Controls Technician
Job Description
The Electrical Controls / PLC Technician performs root-cause analysis and analytical problem solving to resolve higher-level electrical, PLC, and MES issues in the manufacturing plant. This role involves maintaining automation systems at key points in the production process, troubleshooting non-functioning components, and ensuring compliance with site safety protocols and housekeeping expectations.
Essential Skills
PLC programming and troubleshooting.
Ability to program and repair PLCs and HMIs.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Industrial automation.
General understanding of electronics and maintenance knowledge.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Interpersonal skills to establish effective professional relationships.
Excellent mechanical aptitude.
Working knowledge of MS Excel and Word.

Work Environment
This job operates in a manufacturing environment, where the employee is regularly exposed to loud noises and machinery. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment, including eye safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and hardhats.
