Olsten Staffing is assisting a leading manufacturing company in Effingham SC in the search for an experienced and eager Warehouse Superintendent for Shipping. As the Warehouse Superintendent of Shipping, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all shipping operations within the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise Shipping Operations: Oversee all aspects of shipping operations, including scheduling, processing, and dispatching of shipments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

• Team Management: Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse associates to achieve high performance and maintain a positive work environment.

• Process Improvement: Implement and monitor shipping procedures and processes to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance overall productivity.

• Inventory Management: Coordinate with inventory control teams to ensure proper stock levels and timely restocking of inventory as needed.

• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all shipping activities comply with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards. Conduct regular safety inspections and training.

• Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate shipping records and prepare reports on shipping metrics, issues, and performance for management review.

• Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues related to shipping operations, including discrepancies, delays, and customer concerns.

Background and Experience

• Minimum 3-5 years of warehouse management experience to include Distribution/Shipping environment, ideally in a food or heavily regulated industry.

• Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS) usage and logic understanding.

• Required to have at least intermediate MS Excel skills (advanced Excel skills preferred).

• BS in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or Logistics preferred although relevant experience will be acceptable.

• Experience with ERP, TMS, YMS is preferred.

Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
