Job Title: Entry Level General Laborer- Altamont, IL

Job Description

As a General Laborer, you will be responsible for assembling parts, loading and offloading paint line parts, and using small power tools such as drills, electric screwdrivers, and staple guns. You will also help with cleaning, mopping, organizing, and moving small parts on wheeled carts. The ability to read a tape measure using 1/16" and 1/32" increments and perform basic arithmetic operations is essential. This position requires either a high school diploma/GED or 3 months of related experience and/or training, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts and load/offload paint line parts

• Use small power tools such as drills, electric screwdrivers, and staple guns

• Assist with cleaning, mopping, and organizing

• Move small parts on wheeled carts

• Read tape measure using 1/16" and 1/32" increments

• Perform basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

• Lift up to 50 lbs

Essential Skills

• Experience with general warehouse tasks

• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience

• Proficiency in picking, packing, general production, assembly, and using power tools

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos

• Ability to write simple correspondence

• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.64 - $16.64/hr.
