The Manager is the designated leader responsible for the provision of high-quality care that is compliant with federal, state and local regulations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to oversight of daily operations, interprofessional collaboration, execution of policies and procedures, participation in financial management, development of strategic projects/initiatives, and support of growth, and the patient and staff experience. The Manager assesses, plans, implements, monitors and evaluates clinical practice and the clinical delivery system with direct supervision of the front- line staff.
Responsibilities
A day in the life of a Manager Cardiopulmonary Rehab at Hackensack Meridian Health may include:
Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of clinical care and goals and objectives as they relate to patient care, quality and organizational initiatives.
Manages day to day operations.
Monitors standards of practice, policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines to ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory agencies, for all clinical team members.
Participates in the development of the budget, and budget monitoring as they relate to the function and delivery of patient care, including oversight of scheduling and payroll.
Promotes cost effective use of organizational resources, consistently supporting financial objectives and targets while managing acuity workload, volume, staffing plans, and equipment/supply management.
Demonstrates leadership skills by establishing and maintaining mutually supportive partners in care, displays effective communication, coaching and mentoring of team members.
Supports the Magnet Program Director and Magnet program by ensuring the support of a shared governance model, collection of data, writing of exemplars and coordination of the documents as requested.
Prioritizes organizational goals and incorporates them into standard work, up to and including participation in committee work consistent with the mission, vision, and philosophy of the organization.
Professionally reviews complaints or opportunities for improvement with timely follow up to the appropriate department.
Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Qualifications
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Bachelor's degree in area of clinical concentration
Five plus years clinical experience
Two years of progressive leadership experience
The ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs, a strong sense of accountability for improving the lives of our patients and their caregivers, an exceptional focus on teamwork, dedication to ongoing education and the ability and passion to deliver the highest quality of care based on a strong sense of patient focus are all required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
- Master's Degree in relevant field
Licenses and Certifications Required:
NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License or Certified Personal Trainer,Exercise Specialist,Clinical Exercise Specialist/Physiologist
AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification
Licenses and Certifications Preferred:
- National Certification in area of especially when eligible
