Ellie Mental Health Child Focused Clinical Intern in Edina, Minnesota

As a Child Focused Clinical Intern at Ellie Mental Health, you'll share our vision for improving and expanding access to quality mental health care to kids, adolescents, and families, and thrive in an environment driven by our core values of authenticity, humor, compassion, creativity, acceptance, and determination. Ellie Mental Health is focused on transforming the culture around mental health. We want to meet this goal by supporting our clinicians from their internships all the way to independent practice. The internship program was designed for master's level clinical interns from the fields of Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Psychology, etc. Clinical interns work under the direct supervision of a qualified site supervisor at the Edina clinic. The supervisor will review all services provided by the Intern, including written work (i.e., assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes) and interactions with clients. The student intern will engage in various clinical and non-clinical activities related to their specific discipline and consistent with the specific learning requirements of their program. Providers offer individual and family therapy using a broad range of modalities. Clinicians may offer Play Therapy, Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dance/Movement Therapy, or other specific modalities. Overall, practice includes play-based and interactive methods, regular caregiver involvement and/or family therapy, and tailored approaches that meet the developmental needs of children and adolescents. Primary Responsibilities: Provide individual, couples, family and/or group therapy in outpatient clinic setting Facilitate diagnostic assessments, create/ implement treatment plans, complete clinical documentation (progress notes, discharge summaries, etc.). Participate in shadowing of therapy sessions and Diagnostic Assessments. Provide minimum of 10 billable hours per week Meet with your Ellie supervisor weekly to complete necessary supervision requirements. Attend and participate in clinical staff meetings and trainings. Qualifications: Educational degree: must be pursuing a master's degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, with the eventual license of LPCC. Clinical knowledge, skills, and abilities. Compensation Paid rate of $16 hourly for all hours worked (diagnostic assessments, therapy sessions, supervision meetings with supervisor, staff meetings, required traings, etc.) up to 16 total hrous per week while completing clinical hours toward graduation.
