Responsibilities Provides comprehensive, direct services to adult, adolescent, and child psychiatric and chemical dependency patients and their families including assessment of physical and psychiatric functioning and pharmacological interventions in outpatient setting. Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Provides diagnostic interviews as well as individual, family, and group therapy services to patients and their families Have expertise in clinical psychopharmacology, as well as holistic/integrative/ CAM modalities, for children, teens, and adults Work on integrated healthcare teams and take a holistic approach to care coordination May require clinical coverage in hospital-based programs Oriented and educated in gender, cultural differences, and age appropriate care for the assigned department. Department Specific Responsibilities for Integrative Mental Health (CIMH): Empower patients and families by teaching self-care practices for healthier lifestyles that directly impact mental health (diet, exercise, sleep, stress management, electronics use, vitamins/supplements) Assist individuals and families with managing stress, finding healthy natural alternatives and preventing disease by improving health and well-being Integrate reflection and self-care into your own personal and professional life Be willing to teach other PrairieCare staff about the Integrative model Qualifications Requires Master's degree in nursing or DNP or PA in Psychiatry. Licensure as CNP with prescriptive authority required. Will also accept certified MN PA license Previous experience in an advanced psychiatric nurse role preferred (CIMH required) Computer skills with Microsoft Office Products including Outlook and Word required. Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical records documentation. Strong skills in case management, time management, written and oral communications Maintain information as highly confidential Demonstrate the ability to treat all age populations consistent with licensure or have the capacity to develop these skills Must have ability to manage a variety of clinical obligations in timely manner. Ability to smoothly and rapidly shift between dissimilar tasks. Able to react quickly and calmly as part of a team to handle volatile and potentially emergency situations, make effective decisions while in stressful situations and circumstances, and after training, be able to manage disruptive and explosive patients.
