UnitedHealth Group Clinical Training Consultant - Case Management - Remote in Eden Prairie, Minnesota

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage the customer experience

  • Develop clear lines of communication with both internal and external partners and set appropriate expectations

  • Deliver training consistent with training plan and approach, either virtually or in-person

  • Develop training materials and tools consistent with training plan and needs assessment

  • Maintain knowledge of current and planned platform enhancements and updates

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the business environment and business requirements

  • Attend meetings as necessary to understand process changes and training needs

  • Develop solid, collaborative working relationships across teams including Utilization Management, functional area subject matter experts as designated

  • Socialize available training opportunities and training materials to markets

  • Drive adoption to training best practices and trends

  • Assist others to conduct training needs assessment/analysis and determine training response

  • Participate in internal continuous improvement by monitoring internal reports, processes, and contribute ideas to influence innovative opportunities where gaps in process exist

  • Identify and implement improvements to learning solutions to enhance learning effectiveness and business impact

  • Acts as a positive role model supporting change, adapts personally to rapid change in direction

Required Qualifications:

  • Unrestricted RN license

  • 2+ years of experience with case management and/or utilization management

  • Experience presenting effective training programs to a variety of clinical and/or non-clinical staff

  • Willingness to learn and apply technical skills with a Learning Management System (LMS)

  • Ability to shift priorities with short notice to meet the business needs

  • Microsoft Office applications proficiency including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as WebEx and Microsoft Teams experience

  • Ability to travel, less than 10% of time, to facilitate onsite training or to attend collaboration meetings with stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master of Science in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Education, or a related field

  • Certified Case Manager Certification (CCM)

  • Utilization Management and/or Utilization Management experience for Medicare, Commercial and/or Medicaid; including prior authorization, inpatient care management process, and/or appeals and grievances

  • Knowledge of Special Needs Programs (SNP) and requirements

  • Project management experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
