Description

We are currently seeking a part-time Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist to provide maternity leave coverage for our accounting department at a Banking/Savings/Loans company in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. This role will be fully onsite, 16 hours a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Processing checks one day per week.

• Managing deposits one day per week.

• Providing accounting support to the Controller.

• Coding to General Ledger

• Ensure accounting functions align with the company’s established policies and procedures.

  Requirements

Required Qualifications/Skills:

• Solid understanding of General Ledger.

• Familiarity with basic Excel and Great Plains software.

• Prior experience in AP/AR or relevant accounting position.

• Ability to work independently and demonstrate a proactive approach to tasks.

The successful candidate will be stepping into a dynamic team environment. Our team is outgoing and highly engaged. As such, we are seeking someone who is eager to learn, can engage proactively with our team and can hit the ground running.

Please note: This role does not involve teaching basic accounting principles such as credits and debits. Therefore, a solid foundation in these principles is required.

A handover period will be provided in early December to ensure a smooth transition. The exact workload is still to be confirmed, but applicants should be aware that they will be expected to actively contribute during their 16 hours on-site.
