Description Overview Swabbing Technicians are responsible for maintaining factory hygiene by conducting environmental microbiological swabbing. Technicians execute swabbing analysis on a routine and as needed basis. Technicians are also responsible for entering data, communicating with 3rd party labs, and shipping samples. Please Note: The shift is 6:00 pm-6:10 am (2-2-3 schedule). Training will take place Monday-Friday on 1st shift. Starting Pay: \$26/hour base Shift Differential: \$2/hour (once transitioned from training to nights) Scope of the Role Prepares and organizes swabs. Performs routine environmental swabbing throughout the facility using hygienic practices to prevent cross contamination. Maintains documentation pertaining to swabbing sample analysis. Meticulously enters information into 3rd party lab portal for sample analysis. Enters data into swabbing software program. Perform swabbing after sanitation activities to confirm sanitary conditions of the facility. Organizes samples for pickup from carriers to be delivered to 3rd party labs. Performs other duties as assigned. Perform all duties in accordance with company good manufacturing guidelines and safety protocols. Restocks supplies needed to perform swabbing activities. Keeps swabbing preparation area cleaned and maintained. Experience Required Academic Experience Required Bachelor\'s Degree in Microbiology, Biology, Food Science, or in related field required. Operational Experience Experience or coursework in microbiology and pathogens. Knowledge of aseptic techniques and microbiological sampling techniques. Experience in Quality Control preferred. Working knowledge of cGMPs. SKILLS: Excellent written and oral communication skills Knowledge of Microsoft Suite systems Working knowledge of basic microbiology principles. Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Detail oriented and organized.
