Responsibilities
Reports to the Regional Chair of Administration - Hospital Practice. Oversees all credentialing, provider licensing and consulting staff appointment activity at Mayo Clinic Health system sites. Works closely with site, regional Personnel Committee chairs, secretaries, Personnel Coordinating Committee chairs and secretaries, Department/Division chairs, Operations Administrators, Mayo Legal, Human Resource Information Systems, Contract Payer Relations, The Joint Commission (TJC), National Commission for Quality Assurance (NCQA); external regulatory surveyors; Credentials Verification and Managed Care Organizations.
Responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership to the regional Credentialing office, Medical Staff Office, and the Credentials Verification Unit (CVU.) Responsible for all provider licensure support across all MCHS sites. Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of all Delegated Credentialing Agreements for all NWWI Mayo sites. This position is also responsible for ensuring Mayo Clinic's on-going compliance with licensing, regulatory, and accreditation bodies.
Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years of credentialing or medical staff office experience, which includes at least three years in a supervisory or management role.

Prefer Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or Healthcare Administration. Master's degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA) or related field preferred. Knowledge of licensing, regulatory, and accreditation credentialing standards required. Strong ability to work effectively with physicians and ancillary staff. Strong interpersonal and written communication skills. Ability to perform complex problem solving related to health care management. Strong quantitative, organizational, and administrative skills. Strong leadership and project management skills. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement new business units and service lines. Knowledge of and experience in continuous quality improvement techniques and operations.
Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) / Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred.
