JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Food Service Worker can be assigned to any location on the property where food is prepared. This role involves helping with the setup and serving of food from counters and steam tables. Responsibilities also include cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work areas and can also include food preparation, cleaning, washing dishes, cooking, and more. Responsibilities: Reads and follows recipes or product instructions. Estimates quantities of food needed. Uses various kitchen tools to weigh, measure, mix, wash, peel, cut, grind, stir, strain, season, and knead ingredients for cooking, serving, and storage. Assists with the preparation of both hot and cold dishes and ensures proper food storage, adhering to temperature and spoilage guidelines. Inspects work areas to ensure adherence to service standards. Maintains records and requests supplies or equipment as necessary. Cleans and sanitizes workstations and equipment according to client, and regulatory guidelines. May conduct taste tests of products. Prepares stations with entrees, soups, salads, breads, condiments, other food items, and utensils. Performs general stocking duties in the service area. Serves and restocks food from counters and steam tables (occasionally using a conveyor belt) and dismantles stations after meal periods. Brews coffee and tea. May restock other beverage stations as needed. Engages with customers in serving, retail, and dining areas. Assists customers with opening containers and cutting food upon request. Adheres to all policies and procedures. Participates in allergy and food borne illness training sessions. Attends designated training programs (both classroom and virtual). May work on a tray line to distribute food. Performs other assigned duties as required. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications: High School diploma, GED, or similar qualifications. No prior work experience needed. Eagerness to learn and develop skills. Demonstrates maturity in judgment and conduct. Upholds high standards for cleanliness and personal appearance. Maintains a positive and professional demeanor. Flexibility in scheduling is advantageous. Adheres to dress code policies. Available to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Consistently attends work and arrives for shifts punctually. Ability to see close-up, at a distance, peripherally, and to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses. Requires significant walking or other forms of mobility. Capable of standing for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
