Pay: $120,000 - $140,000 per year Day shift

The Quality Assurance Director will provide strategic and tactical leadership for all Quality Management Systems (QMS) programs, projects, and personnel. Ensure product quality meets company, customer, and regulatory standards, from conception through warranty analysis. Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations to prevent non-conformances and customer complaints by developing timely corrective and preventative actions. Enhance problem-solving skills using methodologies such as PDCA, 8D, and 5Why. Conduct internal and external audits, assess subcontractors, and minimize non-value-added activities. Work cross-functionally to develop new products and establish specifications using APQP tools. Utilize modern Quality Assurance techniques including APQP, PPAP, and Design for Six Sigma (DFSS).

Required Skills:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field from an accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. A graduate degree is preferred but not required. Over 10 years of progressive experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Quality Management in fast-paced, high mix/low volume manufacturing environments. Experience leading multiple locations is preferred. ASQ quality certification or Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt) is preferred. Extensive experience in developing, implementing, and managing robust Quality Management Systems (QMS). Strong working knowledge of, and hands-on experience with, alternative QMS tools and metrics, including Lean Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, VSM, FMEA, CAPA, SPC, APQP, PPAP, RCA, PDCA, DMAIC, and ISO 9000. Ability to travel as necessary to various locations for staff management and participation in job-related activities including recruiting, training, reviews, product and process planning, design, development, engineering, testing, and validation.
