• Tile setters are responsible for installing tiles. They then lay tiles in evenly, spread mortar, ensuring precision, clean edges and straight lines.

• Other duties include removing existing floor coverings, taking measurements, cleaning and leveling the surfaces where the tiles are to be laid.

• To ensure success as a Tile Setter, you should have extensive knowledge of tiling and marbling techniques, a strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the employees to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb. The work may be done in tiring and uncomfortable positions. The tile workers lift, carry, set up parts, and equipment that weigh up to 80 pounds.
