Robert Half is offering a role for an Accounting Manager/Sr. Accountant in the East Windsor, New Jersey area. This position will primarily involve supporting various accounting functions within the industry. The role requires processing a range of accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with operational reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

• Maintain and update customer credit records regularly.

• Assist in the general ledger close process and prepare various operational reports.

• Conduct visits to the warehouse to assist with inventory control procedures, including spot checks, cycle counts, repacking, and resolving mis-pick issues.

• Run reports out of the ERP system and prepare journal entries.

• Prepare reconciliations of accounts receivable, accounts payable, prepaids, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, billback transactions, and accruals.

• Perform bank account reconciliations and manage vendor deposits.

• Prepare and post payroll accrual and other recurring monthly journal entries.

• Conduct analysis on shrink and repack and prepare financial statements.

• Coordinate all paperwork for vehicles and drivers for insurance and compliance purposes.

• Investigate unusual transactions and balances in the general ledger and subledger reports.

• Record daily sales, inventories, and cost of goods adjustments.

• Review cycle count adjustments and mispick reports, ensuring the ABC cycle counting process is operating as intended.

• Track all cycle counts and keep the warehouses on track with counts.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field

• Professional certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) is preferred

• Proven experience in a similar role.

• Experience with wholesale accounting, general ledger, and month end paperwork.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Ability to utilize Concur software for various accounting tasks

• Expertise in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in Auditing

• Experience in handling Billing Functions

• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
