Main Shop Technicians, competitive flat rate based on skill level - We need experienced technicians for our busy shops. Preferred: either a current group leader or leadership experience with NYSI license
Mid-level Technicians, competitive flat rate based on skill level - We need techs to perform mid-level maintenance and repair work. At least 1 year of shop experience required and NYSI license preferred
All applicants must be at least 18 years old, eligible to work in the U.S., able to pass a drug screen and have an acceptable driving record

POSITION SUMMARY
The Automotive Technician performs vehicle repairs and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy
Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and perform repair
Saves and tags parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer
Complete an MPI on every vehicle worked on
Advises service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time
Documents all work performed and recommended electronically on the repair order
Road-test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician, keep in mind that customers’ vehicles should not be used for personal errands
Interacts with customers in a professional and courteous manner (i.e., when asked to participate in a ride-along)
Supervises work of any apprentice technicians as assigned
Attends factory sponsored training classes
Keeps current on factory technician bulletins
Ensures that customer’s cars are kept clean
Keeps shop area neat and clean and is always able to account for all dealership-owned tools
Understands and follows federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes, OSHA, Right to Know, etc.
Reports any safety issues immediately to management
Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of how automobiles work
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize workload
High motivation, work ethic, enthusiasm and positive attitude
Some computer knowledge and/or experience
Valid driver’s license required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the U.S.
Must be able to pass a drug test
