Description

Robert Half, the world's leading specialized talent solutions and business consulting firm, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Assistant for a contract assignment at a well-established company located in East Longmeadow, MA. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with room to showcase and grow your accounting expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processing.

• Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate financial records.

• Input, review, and maintain accounting data in software systems.

• Prepare and file financial and administrative reports as needed.

• Support the accounting team with general tasks including journal entries and month-end close assistance.

  Requirements

Preferred Experience & Skills:

• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting principles.

• Previous experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, etc.).

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).

• Experience: At least 1-2 years of accounting experience in a similar role required.

• Certifications: None required; additional certifications are a plus.
