Job Title: General Laborer $18/hr, $3 raise after 6 months. OT Available!

Job Description

We are looking to grow our current East Liverpool team! This position offers long-term employment opportunities and is responsible for handling hazardous waste from 55-gallon drums (liquid, solid, rock, etc.). We will provide all necessary tools and training, including forklift operation and HazMat certification/safety training. Candidates must have their own steel-toed boots. The work schedule involves a 4-week rotation with 12-hour shifts, averaging 48 hours a week. Example schedule: 4 daylight shifts (Monday-Thursday), 7 days off, 4 mid shifts (Friday-Monday), 3 days off (Friday-Sunday), 1 day off.

Hard Skills

• Forklift operation

• HAZWOPER certification

• Firefighting experience

• Loading and unloading containerized waste

• Collecting samples from containers

• Container splitting and dumping

• PPE usage (Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Steel Toed Boots, Respirator)

• OSHA 24-hour training (40-hour training provided)

Soft Skills

• Regular and predictable attendance

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

• Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including a respirator

• Flexibility with work shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime

• Participation in Emergency Response and Fire Brigade

• Reading, writing, and comprehension skills in English

Pay

$18/hr, $3 raise after 6 months.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in East Liverpool, Ohio.

Work Environment

The work environment is not climate-controlled. Candidates must be open to working all shifts and hours and be flexible with their workload. The position involves working at a hazardous waste facility and requires full PPE, including glass, hard hat, lab coat, steel toe boots, and respirator.
