CAM Assistant

Position Summary

The CAM Assistant will coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Capital Asset Management department under the supervision of the CAM Supervisor. This position assists the CAM department by scheduling and conducting physical audits with departments to include tagging assets to ensure asset control and business procedure compliance.

Position Duties: 

  • Conduct physical audits and tag assets to ensure asset control and business procedure compliance.  
  • Ensure audits are completed and certification is accepted.   
  • Maintains asset records within financial system.  
  • Assist units with use of financial system asset module.  
  • Process KFS payments and other miscellaneous CAM tasks.  
  • Identify improvements to mitigate risks and safety concerns, provide recommended solutions to leadership and for successful implementation.   
  • Effectively contribute to team success by recommending process and operation improvements.  
  • Gather data for metrics and data reporting for leadership team as well as identify gaps in current reporting.   
  • Perform tasks aligned with strategic goals as defined by unit and supervisor.  
  • Maintain adequate support levels to provide a high level of customer service and satisfaction.  
  • Ensure policy compliance with current regulations and requirements.    
  • Leverage technology and data capture for accurate audit history and reporting.  
  • Build, implement, and communicate updated policies, processes, reports, training, and communication methods.   
  • Utilize asset tracking and scanning system as well as provide recommendations to update other service delivery methods and equipment.  
  • Receive and provide feedback effectively while maintaining positive relationships.  
  • Maintain an inclusive and collaborative environment, both internal and external to unit.  
  • Present an attitude geared toward continuous improvement and growth for both you and the team.  
  • Be present and visible in daily work and be approachable to staff.  
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Other duties as assigned.  

     

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge normally acquired through a high school education; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in word processing, spreadsheet, database and/or desktop publishing software; presentation and webpage software; typing and filing; maintaining accounting ledgers; may require knowledge of technical or medical terminology and/or technical knowledge or training related to the field of employment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
