Position Summary

This position is located in the Entomology Business Office. Responsibilities include processing financial documents in EBS according to terms and conditions of documents or agreements pertaining to expenditure of funds; makes logistical arrangements and processes travel; reconciles financial documents and resolves discrepancies; creates and maintains spreadsheets; receives, collects and processes information and materials; orders supplies; processes work orders and generates billings; creates and distributes reports; processes personnel forms and payroll; coordinates key assignments and building access; greets visitors and provides assistance; answers phones and directs calls; schedules Bug House tours; assists seminar committee with seminar speaker arrangements; processes and receives shipments and mail; other duties as assigned.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge normally acquired through a high school education; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in accounting, bookkeeping, records maintenance and/or experience in spreadsheet, and word processing; valid vehicle operator's license; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Qualifications

Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to take initiative and multi-task with frequent interruptions and meet deadlines; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
