Position Summary
The successful candidate will assist in the management of accounting and operational activities, and prepare financial statements and reports for the Organizational Units which comprise the University Health and Wellbeing MAU. The position reports to the Finance Team lead. Researches, prepares and verifies the accuracy of financial statements and reports in order to provide information for Departmental Unit personnel and University departments. Prepares and reviews general journal accounting entries and reconciles Departmental records to University account ledgers. Assists in developing Departmental financial policies and procedures. Follows up on delinquent accounts in order to achieve higher collection rates.
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Accounting; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in supervision, accounting procedures and developing accounting controls, policies and procedures; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. May require certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Desired Qualifications
5+ years of accounting experience CPA Knowledge of University policies and procedures such as University Manual of Business Procedures Experience with EBS/Kuali
