Need 5 full time, temporary, seasonal Farmworkers/Laborers to work in East Grand Forks, MN. From: 11/02/2024 - 02/01/2025 Work: 40 hrs./week, Mon. - Fri. 8 hrs./day; 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. All work performed in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of time and a half. ESST (Earned Sick and Safe Time) Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year. JOB DUTIES: Operate farm equipment such as tractors, trucks, skid loaders and forklifts. Operate bin piler to pile incoming potatoes. Inspect incoming potatoes, removal of debris and operating packing equipment. Stack and shrink wrap 50 lb. pound bags and stack on pallets. Assembly of bins, boxes and other packing materials Cleaning plant and equipment and harvest trucks. Drive truck in field under harvester and transport potatoes from storage to the plant. Must have some mechanical experience and knowledge of tools for repair and maintenance of farm equipment. JOB REQUIREMENTS: three (3) months experience; able to lift 50 lbs.; Class D (regular) driver's license; Job requires repetitive movements; Post hire drug test at no cost to the employees to enforce a drug free workplace: failing a drug test will result in termination; Repetitive movements; no minimum education required. Mechanical skills are beneficial to this position. Must Apply By: 12/18/2024 NOTE: EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance; Transportation will be provided at no cost to workers from employer provided housing. Daily transportation at no cost to workers is available to workers who do not reside in employer-provided housing. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. All work related tools, equipment and supplies will be provided by the employer at no cost to the worker.
