The Opportunity

The Business Manager – Toxicology (ANZPI) reports to the Regional Business Director Toxicology, Abbott and is responsible for the management and development of channels/markets throughout Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands for Abbott’s range of Toxicology products and services. This includes responsibility for both sales and marketing activities.

Responsibilities

Technical / Operational

  • ResponsibleforoverallToxicologysalestargets acrossdistributornetworks,serviceprovideranddirectsales

  • Managingday-to-dayoperationalfunctionsoftheToxicologyDivision

  • DevelopingacomprehensiveunderstandingoftheANZPItoxicologymarket: Government, WorkplaceDrugTesting,Clinicalandcompetitorlandscape.

  • Formulatingandimplementingsalesandmarketingstrategiesforthemarkettogrowtoxicologybusiness

  • WorkingcloselywiththeAPAC regionalteamto ensure said strategies, while locally refined, are in line with globalstrategy/messaging

  • Comprehensivedistributormanagementinline withAbbottDistributormanagement requirements.

  • NewProductIntroductionmarketing,salesstrategyandimplementation

  • Inventory management, responsible for the development andmanagement of processes to facilitate both market information andunderstandingofmanufacturingleadtimesandrequirementstosupportthesales andoperationsplanning process (S&OP)

Internal Systems and Processes

  • Enhance knowledgeofQualitySystems

  • Adherencetocompaniesreportingdeadlines and governance framework

  • Managethedevelopmentofsystemsandprocessesthatensure efficientdeliveryofToxicologyproducts andservices.

Customers

  • Work closely with customers to identify growth opportunities and marketdirection and assist clients with the most appropriate products and toolstobesuccessful.

  • Facilitaterelationships withkeyindustrycustomersanddemonstratethevalue thatAbbott bringsbeyondasimplevendorexchange.

  • Responsibleforoverseeingdeliveryofdistributorcontractsandagreements.

  • EnsureourpartnersfollowQA/Reg/Brandingandvolumesspecifiedinsaidcontracts.

  • ManageDistributorregisterandbiannual/annualreviews.

Financial

  • Prepare strategicplans andbudgetstomeetbothToxicologycustomerneedsandAbbottorganizationalgoals

  • Achievemonthly,quarterlyandannualrevenuetargets

  • Managedelegatedoperationalexpendituretowithinbudget.

  • Reportweekly,monthlyandannuallytorequiredinternalpartners.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Essential

  • Relevant Medical/Science Bachelor’s Degree

  • History of commercial success with a diverse customer base

  • Desirable

  • Post Graduate Business qualification

  • Knowledge of Toxicology industry and major participants
