Quality Technician - Full-time - Easley, SC (US).

We are looking for a Quality Technician to join our FE_WIBU team in Easley, SC. In this position you will perform gage calibration and dimensional inspection functions in a team environment, follow company policies and quality system procedures. You will also participate in the Quality System development and problem-solving efforts. You will be responsible for the gage calibration program. This work will be performed with minimal supervision using general instructions.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
Can perform gage calibration for the measurement instruments for which there is in-house calibration capabilities.
Interacts with calibration vendors providing calibration services for manufacturing measurement instruments.
Performs incoming inspection for designated parts. Fills out and files a Vendor Corrective Action Request for problems found during receipt inspection and/or manufacturing.
Participates in process improvement and scrap/rework reduction efforts throughout the manufacturing process.
Monitors vendor quality as described in the quality system.
Responsible for quality system documentation in his/her area. Facilitates compliance with procedures and work instructions.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Associates degree in related field or 2 + years of QC Technician experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in the use of precision measuring instruments required, e.g., micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, etc.
Proficiency in use of Faro Arm or CMM preferred
Good working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.
Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to solve problems in a team environment.
Must have good communication skills and strong organizational abilities with orientation to details.
Computer skills: Microsoft Office products and calibration tracking software. Knowledge of SAP a plus.
