TEKsystems Technical Service Specialist Eagan, Minnesota

Job Description/Function:

The Technical Service Specialist is a member of the Equipment & Product Technical Support (EPTS) group located in Eagan, MN. As a member of the EPTS team, you are responsible for the provision of technical support with an emphasis in one of the core competencies to provide technical support via a variety of means including phone, video, e-mail, and other forms to the sales and service organization. In addition, you are responsible for training customers and EPTS staff; supporting projects for divisional research & development and marketing groups; and completing special projects including editing I&O manuals, writing articles for the Technical Digest, preparing training materials, and developing relationships with outside manufacturers and regulatory authorities. As a member of the EPTS team, you will also serve on system development and quality improvement teams.

This position contributes to the effectiveness and productivity of the sales and service organization through the accurate and efficient delivery of technical information needed to serve customers. This position delivers support to cross-divisional corporate sales and service forces across North America, including phone, video, e-mail, on-site, and other consultations with sales and service associates and customers on more complex issues. The position will also actively contribute to new systems development, training materials development, training of EPTS staff, and resolution of product and equipment quality problems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

What You Will Do:

• Provide telephone, e-mail, video, social media, and other means of technical support to the sales and service organization.

• Provide routine call coverage on all levels of complexity, providing mid-to-high level technical consultation for the Aqua Balance group within EPTS.

• Contribute to new systems development, launch, and quality improvement teams.

• Where required, provide on-site technical support and problem solving.

• Provide prompt preparation of special reports, and transfer of follow-up information via fax, e-mail, US mail or phone.

• Utilize the auto call distribution system and call log system to monitor equipment/product offerings, reporting to the appropriate system/product program leader on issues.

• Compose technical support literature such as SOP's, Technical Bulletins, and Technical Digest articles.

• Complete special project assignments.

• Develop training materials, and training of EPTS staff.

• Ability to travel for business up to 10% of work time.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
