This position is responsible for the overall development and management of the analytics and reporting capabilities for a set of BCBSMN provider partners' healthcare spend and programs. They are responsible for closely collaborating with other enterprise data teams and obtaining data from various internal sources, including but not limited to Medical Loss Ratio (MLR), Risk Adjustment, Quality, Demographics, and ID/Strat and understanding the complex inter-relationships involved in that data. This position will help ensure timely access and accuracy of the data and reporting required by our provider partner entities. They will partner closely with internal stakeholders to communicate complex healthcare data to our provider partners. This position will manage complex data and information to provide meaningful results, identifying and articulating concerns and successes to our partners regarding their healthcare trend and programs. A Day in the Life: Develop a deep understanding of business goals and processes to inform reporting capability priorities as well as improvement recommendations. Develop strong relationships and regularly communicate with stakeholders and customers to shape the reporting and analytics strategy and surface and prioritize needs. Partner with the business team leadership to develop and prioritize roadmap that will enable the business unit's needs. In partnership with enterprise data teams this position will lead product reporting and analytics, planning, and product management. Define and drive business priorities and results in alignment with business scope and strategy. Bring a data-driven approach to decision making, including allocating funds and developing and tracking Objects & Key Results (OKRs). Act as "voice of the end-user". Proactively seek customer feedback to enhance understanding and ensure end-to-end delivery features. Resolve internal and external resource requirements for delivering the reporting and analytics roadmap Collaborate with Capability Management and Architecture team to ensure delivery is aligns with capability gaps and aligns to enterprise technical architecture. Contribute to translating business requirements into user stories. Implement, optimize, and enhance analytics tools to support the diverse needs of the business area. Analyze data and report results on health care utilization, expenditures, outcomes, and benchmarks. Performs sophisticated data analysis. Identifies issues related to Blue Cross data or systems. Articulates the business impact and participates in creating solutions. Nice to Have: Bachelor's or master's degree Great understanding of claims and revenue data; especially CMS provided. Ability to create dashboards and reports that communicate insights to stakeholders. This includes using tools like Tableau, Power BI, SQL query for data extraction and Microsoft Word to create interactive dashboards and reports. Required Skills and Experiences: 7+ years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered. Expert user of data retrieval languages including SAS and SQL. Experience with running analytics projects and/or products Expertise in critical thinking and strong eye for business. Experience determining and being responsible for analytics and software development initiatives and estimating resource requirements. Experience documenting business ss requirements summaries. Experience with agile development methodologies and agile planning tools such as Jira Excellent decision making and analytical skills, including experience using data to inform decis on making and independently solving software engineering problems. Adaptability and a willingness to learn new skills. Experience in Commercial, Medicaid and Medicare network design, value-based payment design and payment methodologies. Advanced knowledge of data and analytics databases and tools (e.g. IPRO, AWS, Teradata, SSMS, etc.). Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate analytical information to both individuals and groups in a clear and concise manner. Demonstrated ability to present complex technical information to non-technical audiences and to senior decision-makers. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team setting having diverse professional backgrounds including business, technical and/clinical knowledge.
