M Health Fairview has an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant to join our team at the Eagan Clinic located in Eagan, MN. Join M Health Fairview, the largest healthcare system in the state! Our clinic days are Monday - Fridays, so no evenings, weekends, or holidays! This provides an excellent work life balance!

The Eagan Clinic is one of the largest clinics in the Fairview system. This site is a teaching facility with a resident clinic, a Med student program, and it is a model clinic for our Primary Care Service Line. We are a new clinic with an improved layout and design. This is a stand alone clinic in a growing business area with phenomenal shopping, restaurants, and walking paths. Our location offers free parking and is easy to get to from major roads and highways. Many at our location choose to make Eagan home and build community ties, while others appreciate the ease of this commute..

This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two week pay period) opening and is benefits-eligible.

Responsibilities Job Description

As a member of the care team, the Medical Assistant supports quality patient- and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high standard functions within a care team, supporting the needs of the healthcare team and patients/support network. The MA will collect information and documents to support the patient visit. The MA is crucial for promoting cohesion with all members of the health care team, maintaining complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow

  • Delivers care as delegated by the authorized practitioner to assigned population, or individual patient.

  • Prioritizes work based on patients acuity, available resources, patient/support network preferences, provider schedule, in collaboration with other care team members.

  • Efficiently communicates compliance and concerns to delegating physician/authorized practitioner/RN.

  • Engage in change to improve the work environment and patient experience

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or LPN

  • Basic Life Support Certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ambulatory Care Experience

  • AAMA Certification

  • Ability to prioritize and work with a fluctuation in workload while working independently
