Your role at Clorox:

Clorox is actively seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer to support Master Data Management. These efforts establish and continually enhance our unified system of record for master data across the enterprise by streamlining and consolidating processes and systems across the organization. Our current focus is on supporting a major S4/Hana implementation.

As Release Train Engineer (RTE), your primary purpose is supporting an Agile Release Train (ART) by steering it to success, skillfully navigating the complexity of delivering technology in large-scale environments. you will be a key member of a diverse, cross-functional team and be responsible for effective communication with stakeholders, timely escalation of impediments, proactive risk management, and driving continuous improvement at the program level. You will be accountable for the overall coordination, execution, and delivery of value through the master data efforts, ensuring alignment with Clorox’s strategic objectives, commitments, and goals.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage the Agile Master Data Management train, facilitating cross-train dependencies and managing additional trains as needed.

  • Facilitate quarterly planning sessions, enforcing scaled agile best practices across the team and managing risks and dependencies at the team-of-teams level.

  • Orchestrate the release train, ensuring alignment, coordination, and successful delivery of initiatives across multiple teams and stakeholders.

  • Keep a team of scrum masters and stakeholders engaged and motivated.

  • Manage the release train backlog, ensuring visibility, transparency, and prioritization of work items and dependencies.

  • Coordinate the release planning process, working closely with cross-functional teams to define release scope, milestones, and dependencies.

  • Provide leadership to teams on Agile principles, practices, and processes, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and excellence.

  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to release delivery, efficiency, and quality.

  • Continuously assess and improve the release management process, incorporating feedback, lessons learned, and industry best practices.

What we look for:

  • 7+ years in IT or professional services, including Agile Transformation work.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience applying SAFe® Scaled Agile Frameworks as RTE and a Scrum Master for a technology development team.

  • 6+ years of combined project management experience, including exposure to diverse agile frameworks as well as waterfall methodologies.

  • MUST have SAP implementation experience/knowledge

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s Degree would be a plus.

  • Experience taking part in a major ERP implementation is strongly preferred.

  • Certifications such as Certified SAFe® Release Train Engineer (RTE), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or Project Management Professional (PMP) are highly desirable.

  • Proficiency in working with Jira and other common project management and portfolio management tools such as Planview Enterprise One, TargetProcess, MS Office (including Project, SharePoint, Visio), and ServiceNow.

  • Continuous learning and up-to-date knowledge of Agile methodologies and best practices, as well as emerging trends in software development and project management.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing diverse project teams, including outsourced, multi-vendor, or geographically distributed teams.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.

  • Ability to communicate in an open, honest, and direct manner.

  • Capacity to foster an environment that values mutual respect, openness, and courage.

  • Ability to use influence rather than authority to persuade and guide teams, promoting a collaborative work environment.

  • Strong ability to understand and empathize with others, fostering positive relationships and effective teamwork.

  • Ability to look beyond day-to-day activities, proactively anticipating future challenges and opportunities.

We use broad salary ranges that reflect the competitive market for similar jobs, provide sufficient opportunity for growth as you gain experience and expand responsibilities, while also allowing for differentiation based on performance. Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

–Zone A: $121,900 - $240,100

–Zone B: $111,700 - $220,100

–Zone C: $101,600 - $200,100

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
