The purpose of this position is to be responsible for the daily system management of the City's new Next Generation ERP solutions. The Next Generation Solutions Manager will also actively participate in the deployment, configuration, and testing of the next generation solutions. This role will collaborate with key stakeholders including the Finance, Budget, Human Resources, and Water Management Department and others to define system requirements and align data architecture, business processes, integrations and reporting to meet the needs of the business units in the City.
Duties/Responsibilities
Plan and execute module, integration and acceptance testing in support of new releases and/or development
Design, update and implement user security and roles within Oracle Cloud Security as well as manage security profile descriptions for user- and role-based security provisioning and access control
Manage all integrations with other systems and provide technical support at the highest level
Is responsible for leading Oracle Cloud solutions deployment administration, application registration, functional setups, and managing data for the configuration set migrations
Work with the implementation partner and business leadership to help project teams with the implementation and maintenance of business and enterprise software solutions
Collaborate with architects, developers, business users, and leads to ensure that project deliverables are aligned with desired business processes and IS design standards
Manage Oracle Cloud solutions metadata such as provisioning configurations, enterprise applications, domains, and application components such as pillars, environment types, module types, and middleware components
Work with Oracle to perform System/Service Maintenance Tasks, Back Up and Recovery of Oracle Cloud solutions data
Monitor Oracle Cloud solutions performance and architecture and maintain the Oracle Cloud reliability, integrity and recoverability
Work with internal staff, third-party vendors and Oracle to update and communicate environment maintenance schedules, refresh schedules, and outages View and monitor service detail and service notifications related to patching/critical updates/downtime
Design and implement best practices to administer and improve the reliability and security of Oracle Cloud solutions
Manage the testing, training, development, and production environments for the Oracle solution
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or a directly related field
Five years of professional information technology ERP related solutions (Financial, HR, utilities, or other enterprise business systems) support experience
A valid, unrestricted, North Carolina driver's license OR If you have a license from a State other than North Carolina, you must be willing and able to obtain a valid, unrestricted NC driver's license within 60 days of hire.
Additional Preferred Skills
10 years of experience in analyzing, implementing, testing, and/or supporting Financials, Budgeting, Human Resources, Utility Billing, and Payroll modules
Knowledge of or skill in Oracle Fusion (ERP) reporting, dashboards, and analytics
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
