Here's the Gist:
Wolfspeed is looking for a resourceful, hands-on, problem-solving Process Engineer with the capacity to quickly grasp and resolve a wide range of technical challenges. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast paced, deadline-oriented atmosphere and be willing to work in a team of scientists, engineers and technicians. Successful candidates should have experience working in a manufacturing environment, analyzing data, and be able demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication.
The Day-to-Day:
Ownership of a subset of machines/tools in the manufacturing process flow
Become the subject matter expert responsible for all questions/special requests directed at your process
Lead multi-functional projects and be a part of teams focusing on sustaining and improving critical fab processes and tool utilization
Lead new tools installations and process qualifications
Implementing effective process improvement
Monitor statistical process control charts and respond to trend shifts/abnormal processing events
Adhere to manufacturing practices of safety, standardization, and continuous improvement
Identify gaps and start up projects to address those gaps, developing novel solutions to large and small problems
Keep documentation up to date and communicate changes effectively
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
Education: BS or MS in a related science (i.e. Physics, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry)
Strong decision-making ability based on timely and thorough data analysis
Able to adapt to a fast-changing, high volume manufacturing environment
Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Experience with ellipsometry, other film thickness metrology, model based recipe creation
Calibration and MSA
Knowledge of semiconductor science
Lean manufacturing
Comfortable using and manipulating data queries
Manufacturing/clean room experience
Statistical analysis methods and process control
Technician management
JMP, SQL, EtQ, PCRB, MES, CMMS, SPACE, Factory Automation
Off hours: Engineers are expected to be reachable during their off hours, within reason, for manufacturing emergencies (rare)
