Job Summary:
The Commissioning Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership to the commissioning technicians by overseeing the scheduling, project budgets, and ensuring departmental goals are aligned with the PowerSecure Strategic priorities are carriedout.
Key responsibilities:
• Lead the commissioning technicians by providing clear direction, fostering a culture of accountability and upholding behavioral standards that cultivate a dynamic, vibrant, and innovative work environment.• Coordinate weekly and monthly commissioning tasks.• Review and monitor work commissioning task to ensure budgets are maintained and projects remain on schedule.• Set monthly and yearly organizational objectives while maintaining clear visibility into current performance and progress toward achieving those goals.• Set yearly training objectives to strengthen technical skillsets to promote new growth opportunities.• Ensure there is collaboration with the Operations Project Managers to clearly understand upcoming project schedules, budgets, and communicate available capacity.
Minimum Qualifications: (Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills):
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supervisor, or Team Lead role.• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.• Strong leadership, influencing, mentoring, teamwork and coaching skills.• Experience in leveraging data for reporting and decision-making.• Experience in documenting and implementing processes and procedures, along with proficiency in support tools for issue tracking and knowledge management.• Demonstrated strong verbal, written, and inter-personal communications skills.• Excellent problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to lead the resolution of problems and ensure high levels of technical accuracy and quality.• Ability to communicate and present ideas, positions, and concepts to a broad audience.• Demonstrated ability to build strong teams, drive out quality problems, and meet aggressive delivery targets.• Ability to balance multiple initiatives and requirements effectively.• Strong analytical thinking skills. High attention to detail.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Commissioning Supervisor will provide leadership in service to the CommissioningTechnicians.

Ensure high quality and on-time delivery of Commissioning Activities and Outputs:• Provide leadership to the Commissioning Technicians to ensure that commissioning tasks both weekly and daily are scheduled and carried out.• Establish weekly and monthly schedules to have a clear visibility into capacity planning.• Review and approve weekly timecards to ensure project hours are captured correctly.• Review and approve monthly Certify expenses to ensure project costs are captured correctly.• Coordinate with PowerSecure Operations team on upcoming commissioning tasks and activities.• Coordinate with PowerSecure Service team to provide field support for commissioning tasks.• Setup systems to identify and flag risks and off-plan performance early in the process – before deadlines are missed.• Ensure sound practices are in place to make the necessary corrections in resource assignments and/or technical direction to deliver on commitments to stakeholders.
• Ensure project closeout documentation is completed.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
• Limited travel will be required (Less than 10%)• Must be able to work in an office environment with a lot of sitting• Must be able to tolerate a full day of computer screen viewing• Professional office environment• Some walking will be required to monitor projects on the shop floor
