Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma Network Engineer III in Durant, Oklahoma
Job Purpose or Objective(s): Supports all Network LAN/WAN/Security/VoIP by designing needed data connectivity. The Network Engineer will work with other Network Engineers, Network System Administrators, and 3rd party vendors; stay up to date on new solutions and recommend ways that can better support CNO. You will report to the Network Systems Manager.
Primary Tasks:
You will be an experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolve many issues in creative ways. This job is the qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position.
Work on problems of diverse scope that requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Select methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
Normally receive little instruction on daily work, general instructions on new assignments.
Communicate inside the department (IT). Align basic projects and work to achieve departmental goals. Standard operational challenges in an understandable way to an audience unfamiliar with departmental concepts.
Have influence the department on multiple issues about specialty. Contribute to overall impact toward departmental goals.
Troubleshoot Layer3 solutions using EIGRP, OSPF, BGP or other routing protocols. Also, plain and design IP Schema for the Enterprise.
Configure multiple Network devices (FW, Routers, Switches, Load Balancer, other)
Troubleshoot and Implementation WiFi / WLAN solutions.
Configure Firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Checkpoint, and other) within the CNO Environment.
Perform other tasks as may be assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or 4 years related experience.
No technical Certifications needed with 8+ years' experience
3+ years Professional Experience of Cisco hardware support
3+ years supporting Cisco or other vendors switches, routers, or Firewalls.
