Accountant & Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Accountant & Payroll Specialist to join our Finance Team at the Dun Laoghaire Plant. In this role, you will manage key financial processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance across both accounting ( Fixed Assets ) and payroll functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fixed Assets & Reporting: Oversee the Fixed Asset Register, ensuring accurate monthly reconciliations in SAP, and support the Construction in Progress and Standard Product Costing processes. You'll also handle periodic reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and depreciation for capital projects.

  • Payroll Management: Administer end-to-end payroll for approximately 500 employees/ 2 payrolls (wkly/mthly), managing deductions, pension schemes, and Revenue payroll submissions. Collaborate with HR, Shared Services, and other teams to resolve payroll queries and ensure compliance with payroll regulations. Actively respond to and resolve payroll queries from employees.

  • Compliance & Audits: Ensure adherence to SOX compliance within finance and payroll, and liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies to maintain statutory compliance.

  • Continuous Improvement: Support special projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and global financial reporting integration.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience: Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with 3+ years of experience in accounting and payroll, in a fast-paced complex environment. Equivalent work experience are considered equally valuable and are accepted as relevant qualifications for this role.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, SAP, and payroll systems like Megapay. Strong documentation skills and attention to detail are essential.

  • Team Player: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
