Job Title: Safety Coordinator

Job Description

We are looking for a Safety Coordinator skilled in Mechanical Construction or General Contracting to take on an entry-level leadership role. Projects consist of school buildings, data centers, and municipal federal buildings.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding of site-specific safety requirements

  • Assist in the completion and maintenance of the Accident Prevention Plan

  • Assist the Project Superintendent in the project site-specific safety orientation

  • Conduct project safety audits and safety training, as needed

  • Participate in OSHA inspections

  • Participate in all incident and/or near miss investigations

  • Work with project team to maintain and anticipate necessary safety supplies for employees

  • Attend Owner and Client meetings and work with their safety representatives, as necessary

  • Assist in the development and review of Activity Hazard Analysis

Essential Skills

  • Safety management

  • OSHA 10, 30, and 40 training

  • Mechanical Construction or General Contracting experience

  • BA Degree in Safety, Health, and Environmental Applied Sciences or related discipline

  • Experience with AHA (Activity Hazardous Awareness) and writing those reports

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Certifications in CPR and First Aid, preferred

  • HAZWOPER Certification, preferred

  • Experience with commercial general contracting, pharma projects, process piping, army corps, data centers, and manufacturing

  • Safety internship experience is a plus

Work Environment

This position will be on-site 5 days a week. Project site hours can start as early as 6 AM to 4 PM. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $95000.00/hr.
