Veritas’ Worldwide Sales and Marketing team propels company growth by driving all aspects of sales and marketing, including direct and channel sales, global sales enablement and all marketing functions.

SCOPE OF ROLE

The Renewal Sales Manager for South EMEA will recruit, build and develop their team to deliver results and identify and develop those with high potential.

Conversely, you will also identify performance issues and deal with them in a timely, professional manner.

As a Renewal Sales Manager it will be your main function to lead an internal based Renewal Sales team that supports our business in South EMEA.

As leader of this team, it is your key objective to drive retention rates and recurring revenue as well as working on a strategic level with the regional business units. You will increase revenues by driving up sell and cross sell opportunities at retention and throughout thecustomer life-cycle. Youwill be driving new business sales with the team, partners and channel distributors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

BUSINESS MANAGEMENT

  • Create, implement, measure and review the strategic and operational places that drive achievement of the business’ goals.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand business activities within your territory and control the expense associated with doing so.
  • Establish working relationships with the external parties that support the achievement of success and be conversant with the systems and procedures in place to ensure conformance with standard business practices.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with key internal stakeholders in order to maximise business results
  • Builds and maintains key senior relationships with customers, partners and acts as the liaison for Veritas with those key stakeholders

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

  • Communicate the Veritas vision and aligns team and individual goals to achieve business results
  • Drives employee loyalty through the delivery of and commitment to Veritas employee value proposition
  • Recruits, builds and develops a high performing team to deliver business results
  • Identifies, develops and promotes high potential employees
  • Identifies performance issues and deals with them in a timely and professional manner
  • Recommends and/or approves people related decisions – hiring, promotions, merit increases, reward & recognition, training, etc
  • Drives performance review and development planning process with annual and quarterly review meetings
  • Coaches and provides career development for every individual contributor
  • Supports the team operationally for expense approvals, etc.

RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

  • Ensures appropriate balance of skills is maintained in team to deliver against expected results
  • Identifies and allocates appropriate resources tobusiness requirements
  • Works collaboratively with other leaders toacquire additional/specialist resourcesas required
  • Drives cross-functional engagement and provides leadership to virtual teams
  • When required you will provide customer escalation management forproblem resolution.
  • Identify and implement best practice policies, process and tools, acting as a role model within the Renewalsfunction.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE - PROFESSIONAL, PERSONAL & TECHNICAL

  • Solid proven and successful experience in leading a team either in a geographical or vertical market segment
  • Clear vision for the territory
  • Knowledge of Veritas portfolio and competitor technology
  • Strong relevant customer and partner knowledge
  • The presence and credibility to influence and motivate
  • Demonstrate passion, enthusiasm and innovation
  • Self-confidence, which translates well for customers, partners and colleagues
  • Fluency in French and English
  • Must be commutable to the Dublin office

EXPERIENCE

  • Working within an IT/Software related business
  • Managing a team of 6-10 individual contributors within a renewal set up
  • A proven track record of driving to specific renewal targets
  • Working in a fast paced, revenuedriven organisation
  • Working within a US global matrix organisation
