Job Title: Endpoint Engineer

Workplace Type: Onsite

Work Location: Dublin, Ohio

Terms: Contract to hire

Pay: w2 30 - 34/hour

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Endpoint Engineer to join our team. As an Endpoint Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining our organization’s endpoints, ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance. You’ll work closely with IT teams, system administrators, and end-users to deploy, configure, and troubleshoot endpoints across our network.

Responsibilities:

  • Group Policy Management: Understand Group Policy (GPO) concepts, including creation, deployment, and linking.

  • Familiarity with change control processes within GPOs.

  • Obtain approval from the manager (Travis) for GPO changes.

  • PowerShell Scripting: Proficiency in PowerShell scripting (5 or higher on a scale of 1-10).

  • Ability to develop and maintain scripts for various tasks.

  • SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager): Heavy experience with SCCM administration.

  • Task sequence setup and management.

  • Collection query creation to organize machines.

  • ADR (Automatic Deployment Rules) for patching.

  • Administrative tasks related to Distribution Points (DPs) and site servers.

  • Familiarity with Intune (a plus but not required).

  • Desktop Support: Mainly focused on desktop-related tasks.

  • All software deployments and updates are managed via SCCM or patch management.

  • Troubleshoot application failures during installation using test sequences.

  • Manage third-party applications (e.g., Patch My PC).

  • Vulnerability management through Microsoft patching and application updates.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, SCCM certification) are a plus.

  • Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, VBScript, etc.).

  • Experience with application packaging and deployment.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
