Job Title: Senior Finance Analyst – EMEA Deliver MedTech

Location: Preference to be based in Dublin, Ireland, but open to consider remote working across the EMEA region.

The MedTech EMEA team based in Dublin is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to play a key role in the organization. This highly visible position offers the opportunity to develop a broad network across EMEA MedTech finance while owning end-to-end planning, reporting and analytics for Deliver Finance across the region. You will be responsible for partnering with multiple teams and driving improvements in our planning processes, actual, analytics, and presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning:

  • Define and communicate the calendar for Deliver Actual and Planning activities.

  • Utilize trending, analytics, and business insights to prepare cost projections by market.

  • Find ways to Automate/Simplify the current consolidation process in Planning Cycles.

Business Partnering:

  • Develop strong relationships and collaborate with various teams, including Market Analysts, Regional FP&A, Tax, GS Organization, Regional Franchise, and Global Deliver Finance.

  • Prepare commentaries for BvA of EMEA OPEX including Warehousing, Transportation, Customer Service, Deliver Quality Costs, Project Opex/Capex/ IT investments. Present analysis to Global MedTech SC Deliver Senior FD on a quarterly basis.

  • Conduct monthly connect sessions with EMEA Operations and Regional Supply Chain (Plan) team to understand EMEA sales volume fluctuations and business drivers.

Supporting Target Setting/Budgeting:

  • Work with stakeholders across the region to consolidate / recommend appropriate targets for Deliver Finance (Warehouse, Transportation, Customer Service, and Delivery Quality), Cost Improvement Plan (CIP), Capital Expenditure (CAPEX), and Project Expenses.

Deliver Analytics:

  • Conduct quarterly Budget vs. Actual (BVA) analysis on key Deliver Finance metrics.

  • Create Deliver Finance review management decks for major budget cycles and quarterly closes.

  • Adopt a forward-looking mindset to identify opportunities, risks, and mitigation plans.

  • Collaborate with regional and Global FP&A to enhance analytics and drive agile decision making.

  • Own the Deliver Finance report enhancements by Deliver Function leveraging Tableau.

Continuous Improvement Mindset:

  • Continuously identify opportunities for process efficiencies in planning

  • Explore technological tools, such as Power BI, to improve analytics and presentations.

Education of the Team:

  • Promote the importance of Deliver Finance, Cost efficiencies across Markets within the team & across MedTech EMEA finance.

  • Educate team members on Deliver Finance metrics and contribution to EMEA P&L

Compliance:

  • Act as focal point of contact on SOX related guidance and communications.

  • Ensure that EMEA controls and processes are in place and adherence to SOX and J&J Worldwide procedures.

  • Coordinate SOP update process and review documentation for accuracy to ensure processes are aligned with WWP/ICH/Reporting Standards.

Qualifications

Experience and Skills:

Education

  • Degree level qualification preferred.

  • Fully qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, Masters or equivalent), with relevant post qualification work experience

Desired Experiences:

  • Broad based FP&A experience preferred – prior Commercial / Operating Company experience helpful.

  • Experience of working in a regional/ global organisation with sophisticated & interdependent business relationships

  • Proven understanding of TM1 and Power Query are highly desirable.

  • Strong experience in working with large data sets and MS Excel and a willingness to learn more. VBA knowledge is a plus.

  • Proven track record of commitment and driving operational improvements across a complex business environment.

  • Familiarity with Johnson & Johnson and MedTech business and systems desired
