We have an exciting, new opportunity for an EMEA Applications Engineer- Data Center. This position is fully remote with extensive travel ( aprox 30-40%) in the EMEA region and can be based anywhere in Ireland, UK, Germany or the Netherlands.

What you’ll do:

You will provide design assistance, value engineering, product and datacentre segment specific application support to the Eaton“Projects, Orders and Quotations” (POQ) department, Sales Country Organizations (SCO), EPCs, Consulting engineers and Channel partners in the territory/market for electro-technical installations.

Responsibilities:

  • Determine, instruct and drive the technical quality and content of the quotation process. Read, interpret and agree on customer specifications in order to create a competitive Eaton solution including mechanical, electrical, safety and control systems.

  • Support the xModular Partner Program team with the selection, promotion and onboarding of new partners and provided ongoing support to the existing ones

  • Technical support of the Strategic Accounts teams to develop pipeline through demand creation at influencers

  • Participate & understand current market requirements from customers to drive product technical features leading to future New Product Development

  • Advise on 3rd party or special equipment materials in order to provide technical competitive solutions to quotation engineers

  • To write consultant specification to drive Eaton's scope of work and also various kinds of technical and commercial documents with regard to design, testing, commissioning and delivery, in line with general accepted standards in Engineering

  • Clean hand over to Order Management and Manufacturing Engineering systems engineers

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in a relevant Engineering subject (Electrical)

  • Experience in Medium Voltage arena- Data Center experience is a must

  • Architecture & Technical knowledge regarding MV, LV, PSA including transformers/ generators, packaged substations

  • Segment insights & Application, electrical and mechanical Engineering, Calculation, Studies and Manufacturing methods. Insights on Commercial aspects of Project

Skills:

  • Strong organizational, presentation, communication and time management skills
