POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Continuous Improvement Specialist in the production/manufacturing industry, your responsibility will be to support continuous improvement initiatives within our organization. You will play a role in identifying, analysing, and implementing process enhancements to optimize productivity, quality, and efficiency across our operations and associated risk/ change controls in collaboration with the wider group.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process Analysis: Collaborate with assigned teams to evaluate existing processes, workflows, and systems to help identify areas for improvement. Conduct thorough analyses, identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization.

  • Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyse relevant data to measure performance indicators, such as cycle time, yield, quality, and cost. Use statistical tools and techniques to identify trends, patterns, and root causes of process variations and issues.

  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Participates and supports in identifying potential solutions and help to implement process improvement initiatives, methodologies, and best practices.

  • Training and Education: Assist in developing and delivering training programs to enhance the understanding and adoption of continuous improvement principles and methodologies among employees.

  • Performance Monitoring: Maintain agreed performance metrics and dashboards to track the effectiveness and impact of improvement initiatives. Regularly report on key performance indicators and present findings to management, providing insights and recommendations for further improvements.

  • Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Draft, submit and follow to closure change controls / risk assessments for the manufacturing group for process / equipment changes

  • Ad hoc duties as required by your manager

  • Ability to travel for training both national & international when required

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential/Desirable/Knowledge & Skills

  • Detailed oriented

  • Excel, Word, Microsoft package experience

  • Ability to understand high volumes of data and provide reports from this data

  • Lean manufacturing experience and methodologies

  • Minimum of Green belt certified

  • Minimum 1 years experience in CI/Lean manufacturing

  • experience in drafting and submitting change controls

  • experience in drafting and submitting risk assessments

  • Confident in dealing with various stakeholders, combined with communication skills

Qualifications

  • Leaving certificate or similar

  • Minimum Green belt certified

  • Train the trainer qualified

  • Third level education in Lean manufacturing or similar
