GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Project Manager, Indirect Procurement is responsible for overseeing and managing projects within Procurement. The role helps to drive and support procurement processes and systems as well as the future roadmap. This role will work closely with other departments to ensure that procurement's needs are met and that all projects are delivered on time and within budget. Strong leadership, project management, and oral and written communication skills are critical for this role. There is one Project Lead, Indirect Procurement that reports into this role. The Project Manager, Indirect Procurement will report to the Purchasing Director.

The base salary range for this role is $105,600 - $161,100. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Project Management

• Manage and lead projects with complex scope, budget, and timeline requirements.

• Capture critical timelines and interdependencies that could pose risks to the projects.

• Work and communicate well with both Business and IT teams; analyze business processes and suggest improvements.

• Track and report on procurement activities and project progress.

• Develop procurement reporting and dashboards.

• Utilize analytical skills to enhance existing processes, systems, and projects.

• Able to translate ideas from pilot and project results into meaningful PowerPoint presentations for internal stakeholder communications.

Budget and Cost Management

• Collaborate with the Finance team to understand the procurement budget and 5YP processes, identify gaps and cost-savings opportunities, and implement measures to achieve those savings.

• Monitor and control procurement budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness.

Risk Management

• Identify potential risks in the procurement process and develop mitigation strategies, as well as best practices in the indirect procurement space that aren't being utilized today.

Procurement Systems

• Oversee the system administration for the Purchasing Department for both Coupa and PeopleSoft systems.

• Troubleshoot system issues with IT or the vendor to avoid and minimize downtime.

• Maintain system updates and take point to represent the needs of the department in the event of a system upgrade or replacement.

Supplier Management

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.

• Monitor supplier performance through reporting and address issues with supervisor as they arise.

People Management and Training

• Manage the workload of the Project Purchasing Lead that reports into this position.

• Prioritize work and establish timelines as needed.

• Train team members on Purchasing tools and system updates and upgrades (PeopleSoft, Coupa).

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's degree required with a focus in accounting or finance

• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, especially in front of peers and executive audiences.

• Minimum of 6+ years in Finance, Project Management, or Procurement Experience

• Prior leadership and/or supervisory experience is a plus

• Excellent organizational skills - must be able to manage and meet multiple daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines

• Excellent technical skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, as well as ability to learn new business process software applications (PeopleSoft, Ariba, Coupa)

• Excellent analytical skills, accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail

• Teamwork - needs to be able to build effective working relationships within and outside the Purchasing department

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

This role requires regular in-office presence, including attending in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work.#LI-Hybrid
