GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Investigative Analyst is part of the corporate Loss Prevention Investigations team which is responsible for protecting the company's assets from internal and external theft by executing investigative routines to identify potential cash and merchandise loss and assist with driving investigations to conclusion through regular follow up.
The base pay range for this role is $30.43 - $45.50. The base pay range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Execute investigative routines leveraging tools such as Aspect, electronic journal, LPMS, and other investigative resources to identify potential internal and external theft incidents
• Partner and strategize with corporate and field business partners on shortage analysis such as conducting theft analysis research
• Perform remote monitoring observations (i.e. virtual services) to support and drive shortage resolution
• Perform in-depth theft and fraud analysis, and provide recommendations to field LP team partners and Investigations team management to validate and resolve each incident
• Effectively respond to and communicate findings from theft and fraud investigations and analysis to the appropriate audience
• Identify, communicate and resolve CCTV fidelity and functionality issues while recommending solutions to address repeat or widespread issues
• Develop, maintain and foster effective working relationships with field and corporate LP partners to identify, investigate, and resolve all potential theft and operational loss in a timely manner

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
• BA degree or greater is desired, preferably in Criminal Justice, Finance, or Business
• 1-3 years of relevant work experience preferred
• Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in and knowledge of computer software including MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Excellent analytical skills and demonstrated ability to solve problems
• Experience with exception reporting and CCTV systems preferred (i.e. XBR, Aspect, etc.)
• Self-motivated individual who can be successful in a fast-paced environment, with little to no supervision
• Must demonstrate the ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities
• Excellent planning, organizing and detail orientation skills
• Maintains confidentiality concerning all information and projects
• Experience working in multi-unit Retail is a plus

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
