Emerson Finance Analyst in Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Finance Analyst:

As a Finance analyst, you will support PRM Middle East and Africa finance team in ensuring the integrity of the Financial Documents and be a critical team member in providing support for the financial planning and analysis process for PRM Middle East and Africa

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Analysis of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Headcount. Analyze and challenge financial actuals data, ensure data accuracy and timely monthly reporting. Investigate variances, identify business drivers, and evaluate their impact on planned objectives. Document variance analysis commentary for management.

  • Reviews and supervise general accounting activities and ensures revenue / cost recognition and books are closed in compliance with accounting rules and policies.

  • Support in Hyperion financial reporting and various deliverable's submission to the US HQ and MEA HQ Team

  • Provide monthly support for POR preparation and submission for Monthly/Quarterly Financials.

  • Provide support and information around times of budgeting, forecasting, midyear reviews and the year-end accounting processes as required.

  • Providing detailed financial analysis, comparing actuals to business expectations and reporting any material variances

  • Analysis of actual commission and freight cost on monthly basis along with key drivers for major variances to forecast and latest estimates.

  • Conducting and Liaoning with Statutory (KPMG) and other collaborators for Statutory, Internal and Coordinated Audits.

  • Provide support for continuous measurement and optimization of all key aspects of the business.

  • Support and own AdHoc projects/assignments as deemed vital by finance leadership.

  • Any other duties as deemed appropriate by line manager.

  • Align with Emerson financial policies and procedures.

  • Act as back up for the Finance Controller, as required.

For this Role, You Will Need:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA/CPA or similar) and have at least 3 years’ experience in accounting, Finance (FP&A) & Audit.

  • Ability to manage time and work to a tight deadline and manage different priorities.

  • Ability to build relationships, working collaboratively with internal and external customers.

  • Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills are key for this role.

  • Flexibility with working timelines in conjunction with Emerson Reporting Calendar

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrate high integrity and ethics in all activities.

  • Experience with Oracle and Hyperion will be an added advantage.

  • Proficiency in MS-Office (especially Excel)
