About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Outlet Manager to join our team at our French-Mediterranean Restaurant in Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab . The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

  • Lead, motivate, and develop the team to enhance team productivity, departmental revenue, and guest satisfaction. Ensure all colleagues possess comprehensive product knowledge.

  • Manage day-to-day department operations to ensure all service standards align with standard operating procedures, providing courteous and professional service that delights and engages guests.

  • Engage with guests sensitively and appropriately, creating personalized experiences and building a network of loyal guests while maintaining accurate guest records.

  • Maintain efficient operation resources, conducting routine inventories and ordering supplies as needed to support seamless service delivery.

  • Monitor cashiering processes closely to ensure compliance with established procedures.

  • Assist in preparing annual plans and forecasts, managing expenses to meet departmental budget goals, and maximizing profitability through labor and expense controls.

  • Prepare rosters aligned with budget and business needs and maintain updated vacation planning.

  • Identify training needs and collaborate with the Outlet Manager to propose and implement relevant training programs, ensuring all colleagues receive training specific to their roles on a regular basis.

  • Assume full responsibility for designated outlets in the absence of the Outlet Manager, overseeing forecasting, audits, compliance, and handling guest complaints and escalations.

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a comparable position within a luxury hotel or upscale restaurant focused on French-Mediterranean dining, showcasing a solid grasp of high-end hospitality standards, ideally in a pre-opening environment.

  • Proficiency in English is required, ideally complemented by proficiency with a second language (Spanish, French, Arabic, Russian, Mandarin, German or Greek) with strong communication abilities.

  • Strong leadership skills, capable of motivating and developing a multi-cultural team of service professionals to uphold high standards of service excellence.

  • Financial acumen, including experience with cost control measures, inventory management, and labor cost optimization to achieve budgetary goals.
