L2 Aviation Account Manager - Specialized Systems in Dripping Springs, Texas

Position: Account Manager - Specialized Systems (Salary + Commission!) Locations: Dripping Springs, TX (Austin, TX area) or Cincinnati, OH Description: The Account Manager is the person in charge of managing L2 Aviation’s specialized service relationships to include build-to-print (BTP) wiring harnesses, specialized maintenance kits and outside engineered programs for our tier 1 customers. The Account Manager is in charge of building long-term relationships with a specific group of customers with the goal to keep clients or accounts as long as possible while maximizing revenue potential. Account managers also promote L2 service offerings and increase BTP business opportunities across the full spectrum of L2’s capabilities. This role will be Salary + Commission! EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Perform customer and sales activities as directed and monitors customer service in order to ensure that the company objectives are met. • Serves customers by selling L2 products/services and meeting customer needs. • Development of proposals, quotations, and pricing strategies for assigned customer projects. • Achieves sales operational objectives by contributing sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; resolving problems; identifying trends; determining sales system improvements; implementing change. • Maintains timely and effective communications with the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and the Director of Manufacturing Services regarding customer activities. • Researches and reports on competition. • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments. • Maintains a positive image for the company in the marketplace, and participates in industry events. • Maintain consistent contact and provide sales and service to all customers assigned combined with regular updates. • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management. • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. • Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and other documentation to ensure all client requirements are met. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all client communications, project milestones, and deliverables. • Achieve sales revenue numbers, budget & profit goals for assigned customers. • Ensure all contractual obligations are fulfilled and that any changes in scope or specifications are properly documented and communicated. • Make regularly scheduled sales calls on all major customers. • Accurately and quickly update the L2 Aviation CRM system on all customer interactions and provide monthly sales reports, expense reports, and any assigned reports to the Director of Manufacturing Services in a timely manner. • Successfully and profitably sell products and services by servicing existing customers and by developing new customers in accordance with sales objectives. • Execute the sales volume numbers, trade spending objectives and any other goals given by the Director of Manufacturing Services. • Responds to and resolves Customer inquiries and complaints in the most expeditious method possible. • Performs other duties as may be required. QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Business Management, or Aerospace OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. • Avionics Specific/Systems Training desired. • Must have 5+ years in account management or project management experience preferably with avionics specific familiarity. • Must understand, read and write English and be proficient with different computer programs including CRM and MS Office. REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES • Effective Use of Time, • Extensive knowledge of L2 Aviation product and services with a keen industry perspective. • Ability to Initiate contact and form lasting and committed relationships with customers. • Keen networking ability that leverages time and resources efficiently in pursuit of business. • Memory for detail, capacity for managing multiple relationships and ability to judge the appropriate amount of time to Invest in prospect activities. • A consummate closing acumen and a steadfast ability to prospect future clients. • Basic understanding of the fundamentals and language around avionics and processes as it pertains to sales efforts. • Prior sales experience required. • Must be willing to work a specific region and possibly relocate to service that region.
