COUNTY OF BUCKS Grounds Level III - Weekend (Middletown) in Doylestown, Pennsylvania
POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs general grounds maintenance and minor repairs to equipment and facilities in Parks and other County properties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- General maintenance of grounds and facilities - grass cutting and raking; leaf removal; snow and ice removal; plowing, salting and cindering of roads and walkways; grading, seeding, and general landscape maintenance of grounds, equipment and facilities.
- Operates large mowing machines, various trucks, and equipment.
- Assists as a helper in other projects. Ability to complete small jobs/projects in related qualified trades area.
- Willing to learn basics of assorted trades (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry, landscaping, etc.).
- Ability to work with other grounds maintenance forces or trades as directed by management.
May be required to perform additional work that follows prescribed or well-established procedures that can be learned within a reasonable time by training on the job. More detailed instructions as to the nature of their duties will be given to employees at the beginning of work.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years commercial landscape/grounds or parks experience
- Knowledgeable in one or more trade level areas.
- Ability to get along with various types of people.
- Physical ability to perform required tasks.
- CDL Class B with Airbrake endorsement preferred. If an applicant does not have the preferred CDL at time of hire they must obtain CDL Class B with Airbrake endorsement within 180 working days of hire.
