Aston Carter Remote Customer Service Representative in Dover, Delaware

Fully Remote Customer Service Representative- This role is a contract and will end around March 2025.

Pay- $20-$22/hr

40 hour work week

This role plays a crucial role in assisting individuals and communities during and after disasters. Here are some key responsibilities and qualifications typically associated with this position:

Responsibilities:

  • Handle Inquiries: Respond to customer inquiries and provide information about services and disaster assistance programs.

  • Support Applicants: Assist disaster survivors with the application process for federal assistance, ensuring they understand the requirements and documentation needed.

  • Resolve Issues: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to applications, eligibility, and benefits.

  • Maintain Records: Accurately document interactions and maintain detailed records of customer interactions and transactions.

  • Provide Updates: Keep applicants informed about the status of their applications and any additional steps they need to take.

  • Coordinate with Teams: Work closely with other departments and external agencies to provide comprehensive support to disaster survivors.

Qualifications:

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with disaster survivors and other stakeholders.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities to address and resolve customer issues efficiently.

  • Empathy and Patience: Ability to empathize with individuals in distress and provide patient, compassionate support.

  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in documenting and processing information.

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with computer systems and software used for data entry and communication.

  • Experience: Previous experience in customer service or a related field is often preferred.
