Position Summary

Join the energetic team at our Dover, DE Feminine Care manufacturing facility as a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor! This exciting opportunity will oversee 2nd shift teammates, and will have a schedule of 2:30pm - 11:00pm Monday through Friday. This role is fully on-site and will need flexibility to come into the plant as needed.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for effectively leading and developing a team to accomplish the organizations goals and objectives. Must be able to solve problems and make good, timely decisions, exhibit company core values, and be a change agent for continuous improvement.

Specific Accountabilities

  • Works in conjunction with Fem Care Senior Supervisor and other department leaders on shift, to provide direction/leadership in the achievement of established goals.

  • Leads and/or facilitates improvement efforts/special projects related to Safety, Quality, Lean, Production, etc.

  • Maintains working knowledge of schedules, safety, quality, cost, material utilization, and efficiency/OEE.

  • Develops and coordinates production/maintenance schedules and manpower planning.

  • Analyze costs, material utilization, and inventory levels to resolve variances. Develops necessary controls to monitor these areas.

  • Review of daily overtime list/cost per budget levels

  • Optimizes flexibility of human resources, processes and equipment. Man, Method, and Machine.

  • Directs day-to-day support services, including maintenance, to insure continuous and effective production operations.

  • Review Data collection system (Ignition) with Maintenance Supervisors to identify issues and possible solutions

  • Understands and directs safety and housekeeping and environmental initiatives within assigned area.

  • Develops, administers and/or presents hourly colleague training.

  • Provides regular performance feedback; Responsible for all disciplinary actions up and including terminations.

  • Support training initiatives to develop pathways to increase teammate skill sets

  • Provides direct leadership to ensure conformity with company policies and work rules.

  • Understands and champions team initiatives, driving team engagement using our company values.

  • Supports CI, 5S and Lean Manufacturing efforts.

  • Promotes safety programs and safe work practices through involvement projects and initiatives

  • Demonstrates a pro-active and creative approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.

  • Lead/Support Failure Investigations and CAPA’s, using Root Cause analysis methodology.

  • Promotes high level performance of hourly associates through the use of continuous improvement training, performance appraisals, and/or corrective action techniques.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Degree in Operations Management, Engineering or other appropriate fields, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • 3+ years working in a high-speed manufacturing plant with supervisory responsibilities.

  • Experience as a People Leader with the ability to develop and mentor teammates.

  • Adept at problem-solving, identifying root cause of issues, and ability to react quickly.

  • Computer skills: SAP, Microsoft Office, Excel, and working knowledge of production data systems.

  • Good technical understanding or mechanical skills.

  • Experience and/or knowledge of use of Lean principles or techniques such as TPM, 5S, etc.

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Working Relationships

  • Reports to Fem Care Superintendent

  • Works in conjunction other Supervisor(s) and department leaders on shift, to provide direction/leadership in the achievement of established goals. May work on projects with Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and/or Operations.

Work Environment

  • Ability to primarily work the off-shifts, and be flexible on working hours, as the business deems necessary.

  • Personal Protective Equipment as required by OSHA regulations and company policies

  • Fast-paced, high-speed manufacturing environment

The salary range for this position is $68,000 - $102,000. Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
